Terra Blockchain Restarted

Terra Luna’s validators decided to halt the blockchain to plan and implement some damage control. The halt took place last night around 10 PM EST and was restarted this morning around 7 AM EST. During the roughly 9 hour halt, many exchanges opted to delist the asset. At the time of the halt, LUNA was priced around $0.008 while UST was around $0.19.

Validators have decided to disable on-chain swaps and IBC channels, encouraging users to bridge off-chain assets.

This halt and restart comes just hours after the network went through the same process just a few hours before, coming back online yesterday around 2 PM EST.
