Ripple To Explore IPO After Conclusion of SEC Lawsuit
Ripple CEO Brad Galinghouse attended the World Economic Forum in Davos and called for more certainty and clarity in the US with the SEC on crypto regulations and laws. Galinghouse stated that most of Ripples growth is outside of the U.S. and that their growth is now at a level where they are considering an initial public offering.

The SEC case against ripple alleges that Ripple along with executives of the company, engaged in an illegal securities offering through sales of XRP. The company is arguing that the digital coin should not be traded as a security. This lawsuit has been ongoing for about 15 months now (Started in December 2020).
Galinghouse seems to believe that the case will be resolved by the end of this year.
This lawsuit has been of major interest to the crypto community, as the results will likely set the precedent for the immediate future of the cryptocurrency industry in the US.
XRP prices were around $0.63 USD right before the lawsuit started, but plummeted to lows of $0.21 shortly after. The price has been fluctuating with updates from the case and saw highs of $1.839 on April 13 2021.
At the time of writing this article, the price of XRP is hovering around $0.40.
