South Korea’s SK Telecom Will Launch Crypto Wallet

SK Telecom is the largest wireless telecommunications operator in South Korea, with over 30 million subscribers. SK telecom dominates with 50% market.
The tech giant announced earlier today (July 11) that they were developing a digital asset wallet service in collaboration with AhnLab Blockchain Company and Atomrigs Lab.

The company is also involved in esports and the metaverse. They founded a League of Legends team, SKT T1, in 2014. The team has since gone to win three Worlds championship titles and remains as one of the top teams. SKT also recently put together a Fortnite team.
SK Telecom has also been developing proprietary technologies in AR and VR and recently launched a metaverse service, ifland. “ifland is SK Telecom's metaverse service that offers a range of features for social networking and is growing into a globally accessible service fueled by cooperation with various partners.”
