  • The United States has now become the leading region in Bitcoin mining in terms of hash rate following the mining prohibition by China in May.

  • Cambridge Bitcoin Electricity Consumption Index (CBECI) has released data indicating that mining operations in the U.S. account for 35.4% of the total global BTC mining hash rate distribution.

  • Kazakhstan and Russia have both become major mining centers as well following the China mining ban, with Kazakhstan accounting for 18% and Russia 11% of the total global BTC mining hash rate.
