  • A strange bug caused several data aggregators to display astronomical gains last night on many cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin and Ethereum, most of which displayed gains of over a trillion percent

    • As a result, many exchanges and wallets also displayed these false prices until the issues were resolved

  • The issues were quickly fixed but CoinMarketCap also rebooted their servers as a precaution and as their final step in their internal remediation plan
