Solana Network down for over 7 Hours. Devs considering a restart
This is not the first time Solana has experienced instability. The Solana main net started experiencing intermittent instability today around 8 AM EST and experienced multiple nodes being kicked offline.
In Solana’s Discord server, developers provided restart instructions at 3:21 PM EST.
It’s important to keep in mind that Solana is still in the beta stage.

1/ Solana Mainnet Beta encountered a large increase in transaction load which peaked at 400,000 TPS. These transactions flooded the transaction processing queue, and lack of prioritization of network-critical messaging caused the network to start forking.
