In short : Mina Protocol’s privacy-preserving technology will now be supported on the popular Ethereum scaling solution Polygon.

Developers can now build on Polygon using Mina’s recursive zk-SNARK-enabled applications, or “Snapps.”

Snapps is ultimately are a good way to protect user data. The protocol uses what’s called zero-knowledge proofs, these applications are designed to keep certain information hidden from specified parties.

“Building a bridge between Polygon and Mina is an important step towards achieving our shared vision of a fully decentralized ecosystem of dapps that keeps users in control of their data,” said the co-founder of Polygon, Sandeep Nailwal.

The project demonstrates the continued efforts by the committed devs of Polygon. The project acquired Hertz a short time ago, that uses “zero knowledge rollups” for 250 million $MATIC.
