“This is a generation that grew up hopeful and dreaming about their future through educational opportunities,” said Women for Afghan Women’s U.S. country director Naheed Samadi Bahram.

Non-fungible token organization Bookblocks.io has announced a partnership with a New York based organization to help women in Afghanistan have access to education post Taliban takeover.

On Oct. 5th, Bookblocks.io announced it would be releasing NFTs with the proceeds of the sales being given to Women for Afghan Women, an organization known for helping women gain access to education and vocational training in both Afghanistan and the United States. The artwork, will consist of 2,200 NFTs in recognition of the reported 2.2 million girls currently unable to go to school in Afghanistan. Minting price will be .025 and they will have a 5% royalty attached to them, so Women for Afghan Women will continuously be receiving payments in the future.
