Morgan Stanley, one of the largest banks in the United states, is setting up a new crypto-focused research division.

The firm is appointing Sheena Sha as the lead cryptocurrency analyst for it’s team, reported by Bloomberg on Monday.

Morgan Stanley’s team will place a point of emphasis on the impact of cryptocurrencies on equities and fixed-income investments such as treasury and corporate bonds.

The overall cryptocurrency market cap has grown by more than $1 trillion and this move is evidence institutions have taken notice of the development.

Other banks jumping into the space include the likes of JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs, who have both launched cryptocurrency trading services this year.
