Colombia is investing over $30,000 to develop a gamified app that simulates crypto and stock trading for young learners.

Financial literary has been a growing concern for countries around the world, thought to be spurred by the recent ease of access to trading, with apps like Robinhood. The newest country funding program to teach their citizens is Columbia. The government has allocated funds to make “a new app, board game, and book to educate children and young people about investing in cryptocurrencies and the stock market”. The program is said to simulate the experience of retail trading through “The user enters at once to invest and competes against two more players [...] and has to interpret the movements of the stock market to buy and sell at the right time and earn money. S/he can buy stocks, cryptocurrencies, commodities, and trade in the forex markets. Each asset has a specific trend that is simple to interpret.” Columbia is taking an amazing approach to educating its youth with this program, gamification is one of the best ways to teach & learn. With Cryptos growing global mid share, this education will be pivotal in the coming years, one can only hope the United States adopts a similar approach.
