Key Points:

  • Gavin Andresen published a blog post the other day that predicts an end for Bitcoin but before that happens he sees the price of BTC hitting $6 million per coin by 2061.

  • Andresen says these predictions are a “little piece of science fiction” and added that fees could cost around $7,500 but does not think that it is completely impossible.

  • He thinks that the Bitcoin network it self may not be used as much as we may think going forward but the transactions would take place using mirrored blockchains and wrapped tokens to save on fees.

  • “Eventually, there are zero new BTC being produced on the BTC network, and zero BTC circulating on the BTC network. There is nothing left to secure, and the chain stops.” Said Andresen
