PayPal releases new consumer app for crypto, savings and direct deposits
A new app being released by PayPal is primed to be a one-stop-shop for digital payments services.
The announcement also revealed that PayPal signed a partnership with Synchrony Bank to offer a high yield savings account for users as well as other features like cashback and bill payments.
PayPal is trying to get into crypto in as many ways as possible this year as they have added the ability to trade crypto currencies in the US and UK. PayPal also gave their Venmo users the ability to purchase certain cryptocurrencies on the Venmo app.
All you should know about the $35M exploit that hit VEE Finance
Just a few days ago Vee Finance was launched on Avalanche and has already been hacked for $35 million. The team says it was a total 8804 ETH and 213.9 BTC.
The Vee Finance team says that they were tracking a number of abnormal transactions and are already working with smart contract auditors and other exchanges to try and find the hacker.
Left and right projects are being hacked for millions. Just last week a Binance project was hacked for $13 million and so was Sushi Swap as well as more in the past month.
Exploits have been a lot more prominent recently than ever with more users coming into the game that includes bad actors. It is more important than ever to know whos hands you are leaving your funds in.
Ex-ConsenSys Ventures Head Kavita Gupta Raising Over $50M for New Fund
The Delta Blockchain Fund has been launched with the goal of raising $50 - $100 million. Kavita Gupta and her team has already secured $30 million from Polygon, Quantstamp, and others.
The fund will invest in NFTs, DeFi, scalability, and multi-chain interoperability.
This is a step towards taking down the gender gap that is especially noticeable in the tech / crypto community.
Kavita Gupta said part of her inspiration was for “I didn’t see women of color running their own funds when I started in this space, which has changed a lot but not yet that much in the blockchain industry, and it is time for that,”
Large amounts of options are expected to expire on friday and this can lead to a bit more of a dip going into the weekend.
When the options contracts expire investors can choose to exercise their option to realize profit or loss and if a lot of people end up taking losses it could reflect on the wider market.
Just another thing to keep in mind on top of the Evergrande situation. Large amounts of options expiring was also a factor in the May crash.
