Wharton Business School to Accept Tuition Payment in Bitcoin, Ethereum

As cryptocurrency for payments continues to go mainstream one of the most prestigious business schools in the country , Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania, has stated that they will start excepting tuition payments in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDC. These tuition payments will be facilitated by Coinbase Commerce.
This news comes in tandem with the fact that they are also launching a blockchain program as a part of what their curriculum offers; however the crypto payments option will only be available, for now, to enroll in the course titled “ Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets”.
Earlier this year UPenn accepted an anonymous gift of $5 million in BTC and since the price has probably gone up since then it lead them to being open for crypto payments now as well as in the future.
They join King’s College in New York as the only schools in the US, so far, to allow crypto payments for tuition while overseas schools have also been quick to adopt this idea.
