The Internets Most Popular Podcaster Has Made a 100k Bitcoin Deal

Joe Rogan Podcast host and UFC Commentator revealed on his Podcast, that he had accepted a 100k Bitcoin deal. In the past, Rogan spoke about Bitcoin on his show, but his move to accepting it is a big leap from his past statements on the Cryptocurrency.

During his weekly show The Joe Rogan Experience, Episode 1728 Rogans friend and frequent guest Ari Shaffir ousted the deal by saying “Joe got a deal for $100,000 dollars” Shaffir said to fellow comedians Mark Normand and Shane Gillis.

“It’s not in American money,” Joe retorted, “It’s all in Bitcoin.”. He did not mention the deal this Bitcoin was attached to, maybe it’s one similar

If this deal is true then the Fear Factor host was paid 1.5 Bitcoin at today’s prices and marks a big change in Rogan’s stance on crypto.

In the past, Joe has shitted on technology by stating on his show that Bitcoin was a “Ponzi scheme”. These views usually stem from individuals seeing the early adopters become insanely rich, before doing any other research.

But one of Mr. Rogan’s best qualities is to refine his view on topics over time as he speaks to different individuals. His views on crypto may have been changed when he has Twitter CEO and Bitcoin Maxie Jack Dorsey on his show.

During the episode, the two individuals spoke on Bitcoins benefits as a disruptive technology to the old financial system. “This is another step towards a new way of doing things,” he said at the time

“One of the things that’s kind of cool about the Cash App is that you can buy and sell Bitcoin with it. Rogan told Dorsey, as well as asking if the platform would begin to accept any of the other emerging cryptos. Dorsey responded with an explanation of the trials and tribulations of the first crypto, and how it will lead to it becoming the currency of the internet.

Joe’s acceptance of the currency is not surprising as many celebrities in the past couple of months including Chris Rock, Tom Brady, Mila Kunis, and many others.

The crypto community can only hope that Rogan can continue his Bitcoin Education, his talk on his Podcast can only have a positive effect on the industry.
