Hard-partying crypto heavyweight Moshe Hogeg arrested for fraud, sex offenses

  • A major issue that puts a black mark on the crypto space as a whole and why governments are in a rush to try and regulate it is that there are way too many issues with fraud. Moshe Hogeg is accused of misappropriating hundreds of millions of dollars.

  • He was arrested in the office of his soccer club yesterday and also detained another six suspects for creating fake crypto startups to commit these fraudulent activities. The police even raided the homes and workplaces of the eight people allegedly involved.

  • In May a lawsuit was filed against Hogeg where two of his employees ratted him out to authorities for a long list of cryptocurrency scams.

  • The lawsuit also alleged that Hogeg used the luxury premisses of the startups as “executive pleasure apartments”. He is now also being charged with sexual assault charges stemming from these claims. Hogeg lawyer says that this lawsuit in nothing but an attempt at extortion.
