Key Points:

  • Marvel and DC are both making a splash in the NFT space by creating digital collectables of their fans favorite charecters but the artists themselves will not be able to sell NFTs they create for the company.

  • This may cut into the possible revenue comic book artists can make from the up and coming trend of NFTs; however, Bloomberg reported that the artists would get secondary revenue opprotunites on the VeVe platform by Marvel.

  • Both of these giants can make a huge splash on the large history of comics, movies, and shows they can make digital collectibles of. Marvel released their first Spiderman collection in August on VeVe.
