You cant go a week without reading about Axie Infinity, the popular NFT game, which made headlines this week when the co-founder Aleksander Leonard Larsen, admitted to the difficulties of getting into the game.

Speaking at the Token2049 conference Larsen said "It's really hard to begin playing Axie right now,", "Basically, they can't get to the game itself, because it's so hard.". The game is in the same vein as Pokémon, players can breed and battle Axies, in sets of three-team, through battling they earn a small reward of SLP (Secret Love Potion). The creatures are all represented by NFT’S, which can be pricey nowadays, a team of three could run anyone from 1-3 ETH an Axie.

So while Axie is difficult to get into due to its complicated integration of the blockchain Dapps, the real hurdle is the price of the Axies themselves. The studio behind Axie is looking to combat this by offering new players free starter Axies, plans were announced last month no updates have been given on the program.
